The Board Has Put Together 5 Year Plan For Our Roads

5 Year Plan Will Consist Of Repair, Mill (Recycled Asphalt) & Seal Coat

Metro57 Has Won Bid

Repair: $3.95 Sq. Ft. 

Mill & Seal Coat: $1.10 Sq. Ft.

 

Work Will Begin In 2023

Repair Work: Will Consist Of Removal Of Damaged Area Fill Pack And Lay Asphalt

Mill And Seal Coat: Will Consist Of Laying Recycled Asphalt And Finish With Seal Coat

After Completion: Life Span Of Road Depending On Traffic Level Could Last For Years To Come!

1. Torama from Payne (some large holes, not heavily traveled but most neglected)

2. Torama from Shoreline (some large holes, not heavily traveled but most neglected)

3. Flowers from entrance (small patches, heavily traveled)

4. Flowers from Cross (holes previously patches have opened, there are a couple will cause vehicle damage)

5. Shoreline from Cross to park (this area is heavily traveled especially seasonal)

6. Shoreline from Payne (damage from camper will continue to worsen)

7. Shoreline to Y (small areas of concern)

8. Panawaka from Payne (areas where previously patched have opened up)

9. Northview from Payne (small areas where deteriorated)

10. Northview from Cross (not heavily traveled but neglected)

Repair work will begin in the next few weeks. We will update the progress and notify the community of road closures. If spreading seal coat it requires a 24 hour period to set, no traffic will be allowed, an alternate route will be provided.
